I have a 13lb Yorkie/Papillon mix that has been diagnosed with environmental skin allergies. Thru my research, I discovered that along with his prescription medication an Omega 3 supplement could be beneficial in helping to supress his auto immune allergic reactions. Along with the benefits of Omega 3's I was also warned to AVOID Omega 6's because they can actually have the opposite effect and worsen his allergies. It was hard to find a supplement without Omega 6's and I found Dermaquin to be my best option.
The pills are too large to fit into a pill pocket for my little dog to swallow, so I just puncture them with a thumb tack and squeeze out the liquid onto his soft food at dinner time. He really likes the taste and even eats the shell of the pill. The peppermint oil these capsules contain really helps with the fish breath my dog used to have, but don't be fooled, they still do have a slight fish smell. If I get any on my hands I have to immediately wash them or my skin absorbs it and they smell like fish even after washing.
The only thing I would like would be for these pills to come in a smaller size so I could just put them in a pill pocket so I wouldn't have to puncture them. Even if I had to give two instead of one daily, it would be easier.
Overall, they have improved my dog's allergic reaction to the point I've been able to back down on his expensive daily medication to just every other day. (He also gets a monthly injection)

This product has made a huge difference in the skin condition of my dog. He had a form of Psoriasis on his back and the vet recommended I put him on fish oil. I found this product and now not only give it to the dog that has the skin condition, but after doing research, give it to my other dogs as well. It helps with digestive conditions, skin problems, and all types of other things. Plus, my dogs LOVE them - they are like treats to them that I give every evening. I highly recommend this product.
