Upon reading the one review presently posted on this product, I cannot comment other than that my dog likes it. I have looked up the offending ingredients, but have found no research in regard to dogs. Research done on humans finds no ill effects due to these ingredients in products consumed by humans. I think that it is not fair to give a poor rating to a product without proof whereof one speaks. I would like to see a comment from the manufacturer concerning this. For the present, I will use what I have, but switch to another product without these ingredients until further research is done and presented.
I purchased this product because I was impressed with the the company's, Nutramax, commitment to the health of our pets. After receiving this product, I discovered this product contained hydrogenated oils (listed as mono-diglycerides). How is a company that is so committed to the health of our pets include an ingredient containing lipids known to cause cardiovascular damage and cancer? If you love your dog as much as we do, PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THIS TO YOUR PET This is a well known silent killer ingredient
